The ExtremeWinterContact has been developed based on Continental’s innovative winter tire technology and its 135-year history of building award-winning tires.
The ContiWinterContact™ TS 810 for the medium-size and high-end categories is designed to provide excellent handling in winter conditions, superb comfort, high mileage and good braking and wet-weather performance. The highly structured inside of the tire's tread provides many biting edges to ensure maximum traction on snow and wet roads. Thicker sipes with their sipe spacers on the inside of the tire keep the sipes open when they pass through the ground contact area. This makes the sipe fill up with more snow and boosts the amount of extra grip on roads in winter conditions. This makes it a particularly well-balanced winter tire for the premium segment.
As a sports tire for winter use, the ContiWinterContact™ TS 810 Sport combines superb handling with good wet grip and safe driving characteristics on wintry roads. Stiff shoulder blocks deliver outstanding cornering stability. Its band-shaped tread structure in the center zone, similar to that of summer tires, ensures shortest braking distances on dry roads. Thicker sipes with their sipe spacers on the inside of the tire keep the sipes open when they pass through the ground contact area. This makes the sipe fill up with more snow and boosts the amount of extra grip on wintry roads.
The ContiCrossContact Winter has excellent traction and braking performance because of an advanced silica compound. Due to the optimised sipe concept with progressive sinus sipes, the stable outer shoulder guarantees outstanding characteristics on dry roads. The wide circumferential tread grooves for draining and flow optimised pattern carvings on the outer shoulder ensure high aquaplaning safety.
ALTIMAX Arctic combines unique grooves and sipes with a modern compound to assure high performance at low temperatures. The multi-angle sipe system provides 270-degrees of biting sipes that improve traction and a directional tread pattern and center stability rib promote enhanced water evacuation to reduce hydroplaning and provide straight-line stability.
